Get ready for an exciting evening of basketball, community spirit, and giving back! The Idaho Falls Family YMCA is proud to host our upcoming YMCA Shoot-A-Thon, a family-friendly fundraiser designed to bring youth and adults together while supporting our growing sports programs.
 
Whether you’re a young athlete, a parent, or simply someone who loves a little friendly competition, this two-hour event is a great way to have fun while making a real impact.
Event Details
 
Date: March 19
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Main YMCA Gym
This is a structured two-hour event, and participants must register in advance — no walk-ins will be allowed.
Why It Matters
 
Every dollar raised during the Shoot-A-Thon goes directly to the YMCA Sports Department to help purchase new equipment for youth programs. Our goal is to raise $1,000 as a community, ensuring kids and families continue to have access to safe, high-quality sports experiences.
Best of all, there’s no registration fee, making it easy for anyone to participate.
How Fundraising Works
 
Participants will collect flat-rate donations in the following amounts:
  • $10
  • $20
  • $30
  • $40
  • $50
There are no per-basket pledges, keeping the event simple and accessible for families and supporters.
Divisions
 
We’ve designed the Shoot-A-Thon to be inclusive and welcoming for all ages:
  • Youth Shoot-A-Thon: Ages 6U–18U
  • Adult Division: Ages 18–99
Free Throw Competition
 
Younger athletes will also have a chance to compete for a special prize!
  • Open to youth ages 6U–12U
  • Participants must be registered in the Shoot-A-Thon
  • Winner receives one FREE sports registration
