Membership Options

We offer flexible memberships for individuals, couples, families, youth, and seniors. Choose the option that fits your household best. A $60 join fee is due at the start of the membership except for discounted memberships. Discounted memberships will have a prorated join fee.

How Joining the Y Works

  1. Choose your membership type: Select the membership that best fits you or your household.
  2. Create your account online: Fill in your basic information to set up your membership and payment details.
  3. Visit the Y to get your member card: Stop by the front desk on your first visit. Our staff will take your photo, give you a tour if you’d like, and answer any questions.

No. Our memberships are month-to-month. You can update or cancel at any time.
We have options for youth, adults, seniors, and families. Youth under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Ask our front desk about day passes or guest options, or schedule a tour to see our facility.
Yes. We offer income-based assistance to help make membership more affordable.
Access to our fitness center, gym, group exercise classes, and member rates on programs and childcare options.
Memberships are automatically drafted from your bank each month from a checking/savings account, or credit/debit card. For bank draft memberships, your first payment will be prorated depending on the joining date. All membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Because of generous donations, financial assistance is available for membership and programs.
  • Our Y works with several insurance companies that offer discounts or reimbursements to support you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle. Not sure if you are eligible? Contact your insurance provider to find out how to save on your membership!
  • The Y salutes our active-duty military, veterans, first responders, and their families. We offer a 20% discount option to all those that serve our country and local communities.

Yes! Our Child Watch program provides supervised childcare specifically for individuals using the facility. It is available Monday–Friday from 4:00–8:00 PM and is included with your YMCA membership. This service is separate from our full-day childcare programs.

Financial Assistance Available — Because Everyone Belongs at the Y.

At the Idaho Falls Family YMCA, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to be healthy, connected, and supported — regardless of their income.

Our financial assistance program helps reduce membership and program fees for individuals and families who qualify. Assistance is based on household size and income.

Financial Assistance FAQS

The evaluation is based on household income, along with the number of people living in the home. We do our best to assign the correct amount
of assistance on a case-by-case basis. Please note that most members (or program participants) will be responsible for a portion of their fees.

No. Financial aid must be renewed annually. We will send you a reminder letting you know that your aid is up for renewal and will walk you through what we need if you’d like to extend your aid. Financial aid for After School must be applied for each school year. Financial aid for Summer Day Camp must be applied for before each summer.

Please allow up to 10 business days to process the entire application.

Please attach as many qualifying documents as possible.
Qualifying documents are as follows:

1. Copy of the last tax return filed (1040) If unavailable, explain why
on the application.

2. Two of the most recent pay stubs from primary and secondary adult (if
applicable), or a letter from your employer(s) on company letterhead
stating
your monthly gross income.

3. SSI/SSD, food stamps, child support or unemployment benefits (or any
other
form of income) copy of latest voucher. For Child Care Financial
Assistance,
you must contact Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP: 800-356-9868) first
before submitting this application to the YMCA. If you do not quality,
you’ll
need to supply further detailed financial information.

4. Student Scholarships—must submit documentation of current student
status.

5. Youth Scholarships—Guardian must be applicant on this Form.

Use the form below to complete one of the following:

  • Submit a new application for income-based financial assistance and to receive information on accessing a complimentary Guest Pass while your application is under review. Please allow 7 business days for processing.
  • Submit a renewal application for an existing but expiring income-based financial assistance. Please submit you renewal request 30 days prior to the current award expiration.
  • Request a follow up on a current award or application. Our team will contact you within 7 business days.
