The Idaho Falls Family YMCA is led by a dedicated executive team and volunteer Board of Directors who help guide our nonprofit mission, strategic direction, programs, and community impact. Together, YMCA leadership works to strengthen families, support youth development, promote healthy living, and serve the Idaho Falls community.

Tanner Rohne, CEO Idaho Falls Family YMCA
Tanner Rohne brings over 15 years of experience of non-profit program development to his new position as Chief Executive Officer of the Idaho Falls YMCA. He also brings a passion for the impact the Y has on the lives on children. Rohne joined the Y movement in 2017, applying his leadership skills in developing programs for youth, young adults, and staff alike. “What I love about the Y the most, is that everybody matters. Whether it be our members, different people in the community, our staff everyone plays an essential role in the success of our community.”
Rohne is looking forward to connecting with members as they come into the building, participating in one of the many programs offered, or at community events. Eager and passionate to make the Idaho Falls YMCA the place where everyone feels valued and at home. Please feel free to come by and learn more about how the YMCA can help the community.

Donovan Stokes

Donovan Stokes
Donovan Stokes was born in Charleston South Carolina on Christmas day.
After high school, Donovan joined the US Army at the age of 17. He served over 3 years as an E4 Specialist before enrolling in the University of Southern Colorado where he majored in Social Sciences and Education. He was a Childcare Director for for more then 5 years.
While at his time at the YMCA, Donovan became a published author writing two books; Reflections from the Heart, and Journey of a Thousand Miles, both which can be found on Amazon.
Donovan’s philosophy on life:
“No matter the situation or how dark life can seem, the sun is always shining and if we can anchor ourselves when the storm winds blow our way, we will be left standing”
Mary Lou Peterson

Mary Lou Peterson
Mary Lou Peterson has worked for the Idaho Falls Family YMCA for 12 years and is currently the Youth Program Director at the Idaho Falls YMCA Learning Center. She graduated from Mesa Community College and studied early childcare education at Arizona State University and attended New Mexico State University.
Mary Lou owned and operated Snake River Childcare Services, dba Anna’s Kinderland for 10 years, serving over 600 children. She and her husband raised 6 children, and currently live in Menan with several horses, dogs, cats, chickens and a goat.

I began my journey with the YMCA as a parent in the youth sports program, later stepping in to coach several teams. My passion for creating a positive and active environment for kids inspired me to take on a larger role, leading me to become the YMCA’s Sports Director.
I love the welcoming atmosphere that the YMCA offers, and I am dedicated to helping youth discover a lifelong love for sports, teamwork, and staying active. Through my leadership, I strive to ensure every child feels included, supported, and encouraged to grow both on and off the field.

Account & Finance Manager
Colin Israelsen
Colin Israelsen is the Account & Finance Manager at the Idaho Falls Family YMCA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social
responsibility. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics and brings a strong background in financial management and data-driven decision-making. In a previous role, Colin led the successful
restructuring of the price book inventory at Good2Go Stores, significantly improving organization for vendors and store managers.
Colin excels at quickly adapting to a wide range of software tools to analyze and interpret data, with proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and QuickBooks. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, bowling, and enjoying the outdoors through sports and recreational activities.

Our volunteer Board of Directors provides strategic leadership, guidance, and oversight to help advance the YMCA’s mission. Drawing on their diverse experience and commitment to the community, board members help ensure the Idaho Falls Family YMCA remains strong, accountable, and responsive to the needs of local individuals and families.
Nick Larsen

Nick Larsen
Nick Larsen’s passion for service and leadership began through the YMCA, where youth sports created opportunity during his upbringing in a single-parent household. Through basketball and baseball, he became a multiple-time state champion and collegiate athlete in the Midwest, learning that hard work, perseverance, and a positive mindset produce lasting results.
Today, Nick serves as Finance Director for Teton Auto Group, overseeing financial operations across seven dealerships in three states, including Teton Insurance Agency. He currently serves as Board President of the Idaho Falls Family YMCA, helping advance its mission of strengthening families, expanding opportunities for youth, and enhancing our community.
Nick’s leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that “The more you give to others, the more you will receive.” He values leading by example, serving with integrity, and remaining loyal to the absent. Outside of work and community leadership, he enjoys spending time with his family, being in nature, tending to his garden, and studying World and American history inspired by the Founding Fathers and Christian ideals.

DaLynn Hammer
DaLynn’s partnership with the YMCA began during her time as the Caregiver Program Coordinator at Idaho National Laboratory (INL). Spearheading a major collaborative initiative, she brought together Idaho State University, the Workforce Development Council, INL, and the YMCA to open the YMCA Early Learning Center on the ISU campus. This success reflects her ongoing commitment to driving positive, lasting community impact.
In addition to her service on the YMCA Board of Directors, DaLynn serves on the Board of Directors for the Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children (IDAEYC). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management. With a career deeply rooted in community service, she finds a profound sense of purpose and passion in advancing the YMCA’s mission.
