About Idaho Falls Family YMCA
Strengthening Our Community Since 1945
For more than 80 years, the Idaho Falls Family YMCA has helped children, adults, and families learn, grow, stay active, and connect with one another.
Since 1945, the Y has served the Idaho Falls community through programs that support youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Today, that includes fitness and group exercise, youth sports, childcare and early education, summer camps, family programs, community events, and opportunities to give back.
We are more than a gym. We are a nonprofit organization committed to helping people build healthier lives, strengthening families, and creating a community where people of all ages can belong, grow, and thrive.

Our Mission
To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Our mission guides everything we do at the Idaho Falls Family YMCA. Through programs, relationships, and community partnerships, we work to create opportunities for people to improve their health, build confidence, develop meaningful connections, and reach their full potential.
Our Core Values
Our work is guided by four YMCA core values:
Caring. Honesty. Respect. Responsibility.
These values shape how we serve our members, support children and families, work with community partners, and welcome people into the Y.

What We Do
The Idaho Falls Family YMCA focuses on three areas, youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. These three pillars of the Y help build stronger people and a stronger community.

Youth Development
Every child deserves the opportunity to discover what they can achieve.
Through youth sports, childcare, early education, after-school programs, summer camps, and family activities, the Idaho Falls Family YMCA provides safe and supportive environments where children can learn new skills, build confidence, develop friendships, and grow.
Our programs emphasize teamwork, character, responsibility, and belonging while giving kids opportunities to learn through both play and experience.
Healthy Living
Healthy living is about more than exercise. It is about supporting the whole person — spirit, mind, and body.
The Idaho Falls Family YMCA provides opportunities for people at different ages, abilities, and stages of life to improve their health and well-being. Members can participate in fitness, group exercise, personal training, active older adult programs, sports, wellness programs, and other activities that encourage healthier, more connected lives.
Whether you are beginning a fitness journey, working toward a new goal, or simply looking for a community where you feel welcome, there is a place for you at the Y.

Social Responsibility
Strong communities are built when people support one another.
The Idaho Falls Family YMCA brings together members, volunteers, donors, businesses, families, and community organizations to address local needs and create opportunities for others.
From volunteering and financial assistance to community events and partnerships, we work alongside our neighbors to make Idaho Falls a stronger place to live.
The Idaho Falls Family YMCA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization, EIN #82-0222174, dedicated to Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
