Healthy Living Programs

Membership includes most programs. We also offer affordable options for nonmembers.

The YMCA aims to improve our nation’s health by providing programs and activities that promote overall well-being, no matter where you are on your journey toward better health. And when people feel their best and have fulfilling lifestyles, their communities become stronger, too. From our wide range of fitness, personal training, sports programs, to our group social activities, as well as fun family and community events, we offer an array of options focused on strengthening spirit, mind and body.

Active Older Adults

Active Older Adults (AOA) at the Idaho Falls Family YMCA build relationships and create a network of friends who support overall health and well-being. At the Y, we’ve prioritized our older adults’ Whole Person Health by providing programs like group fitness classes, group exercises, and health and nutrition classes. These classes focus on mobility, flexibility, safety, and overall health. Our AOA members also experience a strong sense of belonging and increased self-confidence through an array of fun, safe programs like social events, excursions, and volunteer activities.

Health and Fitness Classes

Explore wellness opportunities including group fitness classes specially designed for all ages including yoga, dance, CrossFit, Pilates, Bootcamp, Abs workout, cardio plus, Zumba, and more.

Youth and Adult Sports

Our sports programs keep kids active, teach friendly competition and introduce healthy practices for life. Sports and recreation at the Y create a healthy outlet for children to gain new skills, learn to work as a team and connect with positive role models — all in an inclusive environment. Members of the Y can take advantage of discounted youth sports fees.

Help kids reach their full potential by volunteering to coach youth sports at the Y!

Athletic experience is not required – just the ability to model the values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility while making sure everyone gets a chance to play and have fun!

Childcare & Day Camps

From camp to child care to after school activities, our programs nurture the unique development journey of every child. We have options that are a fit for every child and every family. At the Y, infants develop trust and security, preschoolers experience early literacy and learn about their world and school-age kids make friends, learn new skills and get help with their schoolwork. Learn more about the Y’s offerings below. Program rates are income based, so be sure to ask about financial assistance.

Personal Training

Personalized wellness plan is a free one-time meeting with a health coach who works with you to identify your strengths and opportunities. You will create an individualized plan that will help you get the most out of your YMCA membership and achieve the goals that motivated you to join the Y.

Massage Therapy

We offer convenient and affordable, 30, 60, or 90 minute sessions with a licensed massage therapist at our location.

Massage feels amazing, but the benefits go beyond relaxation. It can be a powerful tool to help you take charge of your health and well-being.
