When school’s out, kids should be busy making memories — not worrying about their next meal.

But for many families in Idaho Falls, summer break can bring a quiet challenge. During the school year, children have access to free or reduced-price meals that help them stay nourished, focused, and ready to learn. When school ends, that support often disappears — leaving families to stretch budgets and make difficult choices.

That’s where the Idaho Falls Family YMCA steps in.

Supporting Kids All Summer Long

Through our Summer Food Program, we’re helping ensure that every child in our community has access to healthy, reliable meals — at no cost to families.

From June 1 to August 21, 2026, the Idaho Falls Family YMCA will provide:

  • Lunch: 10:45 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Snack: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

This program is open to all children ages 1–18 in the Idaho Falls community.

Meals are served onsite at the YMCA and must be eaten at the facility. Families can enter through the Playground door.

Location: Idaho Falls Family YMCA – 155 N. Corner Ave, Idaho Falls.
