Our Group Exercise instructors are highly trained to provide those seeking a healthy lifestyle with a safe environment and effective exercise programs. Instructors facilitate class connections and create opportunities for relationship building. There's a group exercise class for everyone at the Y!

ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS AT THE YMCA
Staying healthy past retirement is an important part of an older adult’s life. The Y offers a variety of programs to keep you moving and connected to friends and your community. Low impact exercise classes are all part of the fun for our active seniors. If you're looking to stay healthy long past retirement, come join the YMCA and our Active Older Adults program!

PERSONAL TRAINING Y STYLE
Goals are always attainable. At the YMCA, we believe that everyone can reach their goals. Let us help you discover if a training program is the next step toward your goal. We offer free consultations for all members. Together, with one of our trainers, we'll work on developing a program that you – and your goals – can say “yes!” to.  It's not just for muscle building but for the entire personal outlook enveloped in the Y's core values:  caring, honesty, respect, inclusion and responsibility. We have stood behind these values for over 75 years in Idaho Falls and globally since 1844!

FITNESS CENTER
In our fitness centers you will find a wide selection of cardio equipment, weight machines, weightlifting areas, free weights, TRX, open workout spaces and more! To ensure the best experience for everyone, please adhere to the following guidelines when you participate in YMCA programs: For those who are vaccinated and/or for those with medical conditions or disabilities preventing them from wearing a mask, masks or face coverings will be optional. However, we encourage all vaccinated members to continue wearing masks.  For members who have not been vaccinated, we encourage the wearing of masks to protect other Y members. Equipment used must be cleaned before and after use out of consideration for your fellow Y members.

YOUTH SPORTS
The Idaho Falls YMCA Sports programs promote health through active play, hone sports skills like agility and speed, and place value in participation over competition. Our programs also encourage individual development, a positive self-image, and a sense of fair play and mutual respect for others. Capacity is limited and advanced registration is required. Depending on the sport, games will be held either indoors or outdoors according to the season. SIGN-UP OR LOG- IN HERE TODAY!


ADDITIONAL CLASSES OFFERED


BARRE - Fitness class that is fun and empowering set to today's hottest music. Classes begin with a warm-up focusing on postural strength and alignment, followed by a series of upper body exercises using light weights. The ballet barre is used to sculpt the lower body, abs and for flexibility training.

BOOT CAMP - Total Body workout including drills, weight training, agility work and plyometrics with core focus on each movement.

CROSSFIT- Functional movements done at high intensity, CrossFit focuses on the Workout of the Day (WOD). The WOD's are scaled and modified to each athlete's level and performed at the highest intensity that the individual can sustain with good form and proper technique.

KID FIT - A fun active class that builds confidence in kids through activities such as learning new sports, physical games or simply moving their bodies.

PILATES - Traditional floor Pilates that focus on core strength, total body flexibility, posture and balance.

PIYO - Hybrid athletic workout which combines the mind/body practice of yoga and Pilates. It also combines, the principles of stretch, strength training, conditioning and dynamic movement. During a PIYO class, you will find yourself standing in a yoga pose one minute and down on the floor in a Pilates pose the next!

SPINNING/CYCLING - An awesome indoor cycling class that provides all the terrain you need- hills, climbs, flats and much more! Set to massive amounts of rock music, you'll be sure to break a sweat as you cross the finish line with the team. A great way to increase lower body strength and cardiovascular endurance. ALL FITNESS LEVELS WELCOME!

WEIGHTS - Total body conditioning that involves both strength and cardio exercise. This class is designed to change each week to target all major muscles groups in a variety of ways. We utilize a mix of free weights, resistance bans, med balls, weighted bars, steps and BOSU Balls.

YOGA - Focuses on basic classic yoga poses, alignment principles and breathing techniques. Yoga helps reduce stress and increase overall well-being.
